Nail Polish in My Life

A couple years ago I started getting really into painting my nails. I joined some groups on Facebook, started a nail blog and bought A LOT of nail polish. This past summer I saw a funny picture on one of the nail blogs I follow and have since been conditioned to do as the picture says. At first I didn’t think about how seeing this picture affected me, until we had our lecture on Classical Conditioning. I then realized that since seeing this picture…it really did happen every time. As you can see the picture posted below says “Fresh coat of nail polish… Now I have to pee” I didn’t really think it was anything more than a coincidence that whenever I was finished painting my nails I would have to pee. Now even the smell of nail polish remover makes me have to pee. Since seeing this picture I have associated wet nails, and now even just the scent of nail polish with having to pee. I would like to try and extinguish this response so I can stop ruining my freshly painted nails trying to go to the washroom, I just don’t know how!
